Calgary police are asking for the public’s help to identify two suspects after a thief stole specialized paramedic tools and uniforms from a parked vehicle in the city’s northeast.
The incident occurred shortly before 6 a.m. on Friday, September 18, 2026, when an individual broke into a Public Safety Unit paramedic’s personal vehicle in the 100 block of Covebrook Place N.E.. The suspect grabbed a gear bag containing medical tools and official uniforms before fleeing the area.
Investigators do not believe the thief specifically targeted the paramedic. Search crews found some discarded gear nearby, and security footage captured two individuals testing car door handles along the street around the same time.
CCTV cameras recorded clear descriptions of both suspects. The first suspect wore a black motocross-style helmet and carried a blue cooler along with a large bag. The second suspect wore a hooded sweater underneath a two-tone jacket with reflective strips on the wrists and shoulders, while carrying a backpack.
Police urge anyone with information or security video to call the non-emergency line at 403-266-1234 or submit anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers.
