19 year old suffers multiple gun shot wounds in targeted shooting

Police are seeking public assistance following a targeted shooting incident that took place in the city’s northwest area, that left one man with serious injuries. 

On Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026, at approximately 10 p.m., police were called for multiple reports of a shooting in the 100 block of Carrington Boulevard N.W.

It was reported that at least two vehicles were involved in a shooting, resulting in one of the vehicles coming to a stop near 144 Avenue N.W. and Carrington Boulevard N.W.

According to eye witnesses, the suspects fled the scene of the crime in an unknown vehicle.

Upon arriving at the scene of the shooting, police discovered the victim, a 19-year-old man, who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to hospital in serious but stable condition.

At this time, there are no suspects in custody and the investigation is ongoing.

In a statement issued by Staff Sergeant Geoff Gawlinski of the Calgary Police Service, he stated that the police “continue to be concerned about gun violence in our city. We recognize many Calgarians are extremely concerned about these incidents and we are asking for anyone who may have information or CCTV to contact police.”
