Police charged three men with 20 criminal offenses following a major Calgary weapons seizure illegal firearms operation in the northeast.
The bust happened when the Gun Violence Enforcement Team raided a home on Covington Rise N.E. During the search, officers found traditional handguns alongside 3D-printed weapons. They also seized a 3D printer, custom silencers, and high-capacity magazines.
All three suspects were already violating court orders and firearm bans when officers arrested them. Police identified the men as Robert Cvitanovic, John Wayne Kirby, and Travis Robillard-Ball. One suspect also had active warrants for his arrest.
“Every crime gun we seize is one less weapon that can harm our community,” said Staff Sergeant Matt Gow. “Taking these guns away from offenders keeps Calgarians safe.”
The three men will face a judge over the coming weeks. Meanwhile, police encourage residents to report suspicious activity to help stop neighborhood gun violence.
