Emergency responders were dispatched at approximately 4:20 p.m. on Friday, September 4, 2026, following reports of a collision on Symons Valley Parkway N.W., near the intersection of Evanston View N.W.
According to preliminary investigation details, a 19-year-old man was operating a motorcycle near the intersection when the vehicle struck a curb. The impact caused the rider to lose control, after which the motorcycle struck a fire hydrant before coming to a stop.

Police do not believe alcohol or drug impairment was a factor in the crash. However, collision reconstruction investigators are looking into excessive speed as a primary contributing factor.

Additionally, officers are searching for a black motorcycle helmet believed to have been worn by the driver at the time of the crash.
