Calgary police have charged a uniformed security guard with sexual assault following an on-duty incident in June 2026.
On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at approximately 3 a.m., an on-duty security guard approached a woman in the neighbourhood of Forest Lawn. It is alleged the security guard drove the woman to an industrial area in the city’s southeast where he sexually assaulted her inside his company vehicle.
The security company reported the incident to police on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 after reviewing the vehicle’s in-car camera.
Investigators from the Sexual Assault Investigative Unit were assigned to the case who worked to identify and locate the victim.
Police arrested the man on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026, after speaking with the victim and collecting additional evidence.
Muhammad Hussain, 34, of Calgary, has been charged with one count each of sexual assault and forcible confinement.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026
