Here are the locations for speed radars in Calgary this October

Calgary police reveal the location of speed radars for the month of October to curb speeding.

Mobile radar units will monitor 17 residential communities throughout the month. The targeted neighborhoods include Albert Park/Radisson Heights, Auburn Bay, Bowness, Brentwood, Bridlewood, Collingwood, Hidden Valley, Highland Park, and Huntington Hills.

Enforcement vehicles will also monitor active road construction zones when workers operate on site.

Speeding fines reflect how fast drivers are travelling over the limit. Exceeding speed limit by over 50 km/h will result in a mandatory court appearance before a judge.

Additionally, police operate 57 automated intersection safety camera sites across Calgary. Most units catch red-light violators, while five specific sites can capture speeding vehicles passing through green lights. These cameras continue to reduce collisions and foster a safer driving environment at our intersections.

Police urge motorists to slow down to meet citywide Vision Zero safety targets.
