Do you recognize this car used by sexual predator?

Calgary police are asking the public’s to help in identifying a vehicle believed to have been driven by a man responsible for a random sexual assault earlier this week.

The Calgary Police Service have released CCTV images of the suspect vehicle as investigators continue their efforts to identify the person responsible for the assault.

At around 1 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026, officers were called to the Southland CTrain Station parking lot at 10158 Sacramento Dr. S.W. after witnesses reported a vulnerable woman in distress who appeared to have been sexually assaulted.

The victim was transported to hospital in stable condition. Investigators believe she did not know the man prior to the attack.

The suspect is described as a man with dark brown hair who speaks with an accent. Witnesses reported seeing a mid-sized black SUV with chrome trim around the windows fleeing the area.

Investigators who spent hours collecting and reviewing CCTV footage from the area have released images of the vehicle the suspect is believed to have been driving.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident, or anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area, to come forward.

A/Insp. Travis Baker of the Major Crimes Section said police understand the incident has caused concern among Calgarians. “In addition to conducting increased police patrols, our investigators are using every available resource to identify the person responsible for this random assault,” Baker said. “However, we need the public’s help. Anyone who recognizes this vehicle or has information, no matter how small, is asked to contact police.”
